Completely Original in my opinion. Common Date I know. Just for giggles see what you think in this "Doomed Market" that sees common date Mercury Dimes going up in Value. 3 sets of images attached.

Hard to tell from pic with all that dark tone. But I don't see any marks, so I'll go out on a limb and say 66FB.
I'm guessing it would grade 66 FB today.

I wouldn't be surprised at anything from 64 FB to 67 FB. A 63 or 68 would surprise me though.

I am in another rare agreement with Dimeman, it appears mark-free and MS66FB. I am "closer to the trunk" than he is. my hunch is that PCGS graded it MS65FB but that it would have graded 1-2 points higher if not for the unattractive tone. sometimes original doesn't equate to beautiful.
I'm guessing 64FB, my initial reaction.

This is my reaction also. The tone is just in the wrong place on this dime. If it was higher on the dime it would have went 65 easily with a very good shot at 66.

the slab shot is helpful because it confirms the coin to have negative toning. The close ups made me hopeful that the toning was not as thick as it appeared to be.
Looks like PCGS didn't care for the tone either. Real nice surfaces for a 64!
