Over the long Holiday weekend we had a small get together and cookout followed by a short day trip. There were six of us including two of our children, a grandchild and her friend packed into my Jeep Liberty --- off to the Holden Arboretum. It's a 3.000 acre+ Botanical Garden located in Kirtland, Ohio, 15 miles from my home and about 25 miles east of Cleveland. If you ever get the chance to visit please don't pass it up. It is spectacular.
Numismatic History buffs might be aware that the Norweb Family settled in Bratenahl, Ohio, that's the link. We had started our little journey through the Gardens and knew where we wanted to go, just not how to get there. There are cleverly posted street-sign like posts at some of the path intersections and I was stopped dead in my tracks in disbelief. Apparently Mr. and Mrs. Norweb weren't just Numismatists, they probably Gardened as well.
That's me under the sign and the Norweb legacy on the third sign down!!!

Here, let's fix that picture:
tell me why it loads sideways for me, I can't get it to change. thanks!!
Not sure Al. I'm not that smart.
It is a great arboretum- I visited last summer with family.
My favorite part- the open poison ivy display right in the middle of the kiddy playground!
I enjoy arboretums and plant/flower shows..... Always been a gardener and raise hot pepper plants every year... I have a blossoming Carolina Reaper plant in the back yard now... wintered it over from last year. Hottest pepper in the world... and, it also has great flavor. Cheers, RickO
Looks like a great place to visit

"Coin collecting for outcasts..."
Do coins grow on trees there? Is that where Mr. Norweb got his collection?
Seriously, folks, that sounds like a very good place to visit.
