There is no finish line with Morgans. Its a moving target
I love them. Yours looks drippy as hell!
Yes, I am.
Have 79,89, 92,93 left in my CC Morgan $ Set.
I am also doing a PCGS OGH or CAC morgan mid mint state(64/65) date set... something new...

I also enjoy taking professional pictures and making picture frames of good looking Morgan dollars.
Here is one:

I have two Morgans !!!!
Surely when you reach the 'finish line' you will find another race to enter

Absolutely. Just picked up an 87-S in DMPL.
2,3,4,5 or 6?
Do not tease us!
To pick up a DMPL in less than gem 65 is a folly of the unwashed.
It was an MS61.
( Got if from Heritage....should have it by Labor Day!
Great looking MS-63!! And CAC agrees
Holy cow Wabbit nice dollar!!
That 1900-S is spectacular!!

I collect them still and enjoy the look of frosty cameo reflections.
Where were you when I posted my 19-Morgan coin picture GTG thread? I have about 30 left for a complete set. I was thinking of starting a Morgan thread in the Registry forum. Strange that there isn't one already.
1887-S 64PL
@CCDollar .... Some very nice Morgans there... and some nice DMPL's added... Morgans are just a fantastic coin to collect. Many think them too common, however, they are a big, silver, American coin - that alone makes them attractive. Cheers, RickO
1887-S in PL/DMPL is a hard coin - I don't often see examples for sale... Except for maybe 2 or 3 times in the past year.
It is a bucket list coin for me and one that I would like to get to replace my 1887 MS64PL in my PL date set since its my "One Hundred Years Before my Birthday Year Morgan"
The straight line scratches on the obv are on the holder....
That's a seriously nice coin!

When did 65 get back to being "gem?"
With respect to Morgans, I would say 64/65 to me mid mint state grade. Gems might be 68's
1890-O MS63+ DMPL
Another one...

Yeah, I have a few of those.
Many pictured in my registry set, but many more aren't.

Forgot to take a shower?
I've mentioned before that I once got 5 coins away from a date/mm set when I realized I couldn't stand them.
Actually I could stand a couple of type coins, but have no interest in putting the set together again.
Thanks everyone for a great thread...some nice coins posted...hope to see some more. I'm glad that I am not alone in my passion for Morgan Dollars. High grades are nice but budgets rule most of the time...I love a nice circulated dollar too...

I think that can happen in all aspects of collecting...

I've had a full 96 piece date/mm set (no 95 proof or varieties) for years ranging from VG8 to MS66 and love every one of them. One day I may look in to upgrading some of them if I tire of working on my current pet project.
By the way, your 87-S looks fabulous and would make a great replacement for the cleaned UNC details coin in my set.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
One from my CC morgan Date set. My photography.... btw...
