Last time I sent coins in it took longer to get the registered return mail back than it did for them to do the evaluating. My coins were there less than a week.
I sent in four coins recently on a Thursday. CAC received them at 11:00am their time the next day, Friday. I had all four back by Tuesday noon! USPS Express over-night mail was used both ways.
As far as I am concerned CAC has always given me great customer service!
Three of the four coins I sent received green stickers, including these two which now both grade PCGS MS64 CAC:
**Thanks @spacehayduke! ** I appreciate your kind words.
Here's the third coin I received a CAC sticker on, an 1807 O-111b example of the Bearded Goddess Capped Bust Half Dollar. I've had this coin tucked away for a while. It now grades PCGS XF45 CAC.

Not to change the topic, but did anyone here succeed in getting a new collector membership in the past year or two? They have been closed for a while, according to the CAC website, but there is some sort of waiting list system in place.

Yes. If you call their customer service and ask for an application they will email/mail one to you. It took a few months for me to hear back after I returned it, but it was worth the wait!

A week, and if you are within driving distance often they will have time for walkthroughs.
I got some coins back a couple weeks ago. CAC had the coins 5 working days.

It takes longer for my package to return via Registered Mail than to be processed at CAC.

The turnaround time for my latest submission was about normal for CAC. Received on 6/21 and returned on 6/27 ... 5 business days.
Out of 20 submitted:
4 - Not CAC (bummer! ... still nice coins)
14 - Passed (green sticker)
2 - Exceeded (gold!)

a real beauty!
