So the 2015's could come off sales soon. The 2016's could conceivably be there for almost another year.

Junkie, not many of the 2014s were sellouts, were they? I don't know what the Mint hopes to accomplish in leaving these coins up for so long, do you?
Last week, the next sales were -2. Might that be the final straw?

Well, there's nothing to lose by leaving them on sale.
They have them, there's no law saying they can't continue to sell them, and leaving them on sale costs next to nothing.
I would assume they'll come off-sale sooner or later, but even if they only sell one, it's probably more profitable than to rip the packaging apart and send the unsold coins to the melters. Then it's a complete loss.
A couple of times a year, the Mint does a big purge and removed older items from the catalog. They'll probably disappear then.
Despite what some supporters say there is minimal interest in this series.
It has been a value trap for collectors from day 1.
I'm sure someone will chime in with some issue with special label that brings a premium.
Are there any that bring a premium in raw form with OGP??
I really doubt there are any buyers who are net-net positive for buying these coins.
What this series needs is the same thing almost all of the modern bullion based coins need.................
A major spike in PM prices that will drive at least some of the overhang into melting pot.
Looking way back I recall hundreds of threads/posts on the First Hags gold.

I believe the last solid supporter of this Series I saw was wondercoin.
Many will be melted, as many already have been. I'm glad i sold all I did when i had the chance, held on too long to some of them.
It is an awful series.
This series never held any interest for me. Seemed like it was nothing but a PC motivated series and of no real significance. Cheers, RickO
Like the art medals in gold from the early '80s, these items will be "On Sale" for decades to come. Like day old donuts, somebody might try one.... someday. I think the mint was selling 2001 clad Kennedy halves into 2007 or some crazy amount of time. With the way gold is dropping , they might even be re-priced lower. One can hope, anyway.

Raw and MS69 coins seem to be selling for about the same money and it's barely above with the mint sold them for or even less.
There are a couple that sell raw for a modest profit but unless you caught just these 1 or 2 issues you are almost certainly in the hole...........
