Baltimore Pick-Up for my Type Set

LeeBoneLeeBone Posts: 4,675 ✭✭✭✭✭

Wanted a First Year of this Type.
Found that decent eye-appealing coins in this series are, IMO, not that easy to come by.
Happy to have found this one at a pretty fair price too.

Excellent barber quarter, yes they seem to be either well circulated or MS65

Which reverse is rarer for the 1892? Type 1 or 2?

Judging from a fairly small sample of images on PCGS CoinFacts, they appear to be of about equal scarcity.

    LeeBone's coin is a Type 2.
Type 1 and Type 2 differ based on what parts of the letters TE and ER the eagle's wing tips cover,
the location of the leaves in the olive branch relative to U,
and the location and rotation of the stars above the eagle.

    Type 1

    Type 2

Our host does not differentiate between the two as far as varieties go.
