It is certainly an 8.
Looks like an 8/8 to me.
If it is a Lincoln cent - no. Plating "skip" let the zinc corrode around the "8."
It's a Newfoundland cent.

Then it is possibly an 8/8 but I don't see anything in the catalogue. Just a suggestion. The next time you post a coin let us know the country, date, and denomination. Saves time and you'll probably get a better response.

LOL, 2nd image was not (?) on my computer. That's why my Lincoln cent post. Glad you did not disagree!
Cannot find a listing for RPD so check one of the foreign coin forms. If no one has seen this listed you have a neat piece. North American coins from Canada and the provinces are ripe for varieties. Most unlisted in the Canadian books.
Even better there are several Canadian coin sites. I checked four with no result for 8/8.

It certainly appears to be a restruck 8.....I see no record of one in reference materials... could be a discovery coin... Cheers, RickO
