1980 P Washington 25C......??
It appears the 'I' was struck over the gouge. Any enlightenment on this?
(As for the optics.....single Dad of two toddlers with no help. Apologies. I have to save to upgrade. Bear with me.)
I am very grateful for the insight and encouragement.

It looks like the " I "was actually moved when the gouge occurred.
It isn't really hard to move the design elements on a coin.
Try it on a pocket cent. Take a straight edge screwdriver and place it next

to a number in the date and just try to push it. You will be surprised how easy
the metal moves.
Look at this cool Lincoln I found with moved metal.
I know the pic is blurry, but it is post mint damage and not an error.
What year/make is that Garand?
Yes... PMD... As said above, the I is moved by the damage. Cheers, RickO
That's how I made a 1914 D when I was about 11.
@CoinsAndMoreCoins ... I am presently using an ASUS Notebook...Core i7, NVIDIA GEFORCE. Cheers, RickO
That is ridiculous... are you making a point or a joke?? Cheers, RickO
