One thing I would not have done is hit the "share this order" button.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Of the two that had S/N's assigned, those were SecurePlus, which should include TrueViews...would that include images of counterfeit coins? That would be educational since you could zoom into areas which would provide characteristics of the "pick up points" of the counterfeits...or would that provide areas to improve for future counterfeits?

I am ticked when one coin misses my mark. A hidden camera when he opened those orders would have been priceless!

Why is the coin with the chop marks listed as damaged. I thought PCGS straight graded chop mark coins and listed it on the label.

Good to see the key word "Counterfeit" being used! Nice.

As far as I know, a lot of counterfeit silver " yuan"s were produced more than 40 years ago in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

I posted this on the world forum, but counterfeit Chinese coins are pervasive. Go onto eBay and over 50% of the listed coins are counterfeit.

I use to collect Chinese coins, but I was worried about selling them one day. I stopped and sold 90% of what I had since I think the collector confidence in this market would be low and not many people would want to own these. This is pure speculation, but the market is saturated and is not going to get better.

Here is a pic of a real NGC fat man alongside a fake one in a Chinese made holder. Thousands of these were sold in 2015 and 2016 and the sellers had 99% feedback.

Probably bought them as a package deal on Alibaba.

Problem with Chinese coins/collectible, lot of family heirloom were counterfeit to begin with and passed down since the end of Qing dynasty 1916?

No, I just got a "counterfeit" that I sent in (actually added mint mark) and paid for TV and did not get it.

The Chinese assets are to be avoided. I don't trust any collectible from there, their stock market, economic data reported or anything else from from there. The smart Chinese park a significant amount of their wealth in U.S. assets. It works to our advantage is our country can lend money for 30 years on a fixed rate basis for less than three%. Same goes for just about every other country.

I like to imagine it as a counterfeiter sending in an order to test the quality of his materials.

Or a collector slabbing them for education purposes.
