Did I just score the find of the century?!

Went thrift shopping with my girlfriend and found these signed Nikes for $20. Yes $20 for the pair

They're Kobe Bryant shoes but I'm not sure if it's his signature so maybe someone can help me here

It would be an awesome find if they were real but I've never seen a Kobe signature similar to this.

It makes me wonder though, if they are fake, wouldn't the faker try and make it look exactly like a previous sig he's done and there are too many variations with the two sigs on both shoes which means they were quickly done (like a real sig), not meretriciously done as a faker would.

I am thinking of spending money to take it to Beckett to have their opinion but I live in Australia and shipping cost will be costly so just want to know if it's worth it

Color me skeptical, but I have a hard time imagining how authentic signed Kobe Bryant shoes ended up in a thrift store in Australia. Save the money on the shipping and grading. Others can hopefully chime in on the signature.

I've got Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Dela Hoya boxing gloves signed and PSA authenticated and I don't think any of those two have come to Australia. (bought over internet) but hopefully others here can shine light on it

What year is that model from? Athletes change signatures occasionally maybe it's an early signature? I have no prior knowledge on Kobe's signature though. Just throwing the idea out there.

Maybe the faker decided to autograph them as a joke before he donated them.

Ok, this board, as declared in my prior post, would essentially refer to the plethora of sports geeks who enjoy discussing the exploration, identification, authentication......and quite often the permutation of cards and memorabilia related to the endeavors of athletes, be they professional or otherwise.

The U.S. Coin Forum is a completely different universe within a universe and pertains to the efforts of people who are rather strange and contorted. While I do agree that there are occasional crossover collectors with misfired brain matter (Grote15, I'm talking to you), the submission of a post from a foreign society does not qualify. You may not have my collection detroitfan2.

This is some fun. You might be better off without my collection, anyways. What would you do with 100,000+ 1989 Upper Deck baseball commons? Build a sundeck? Maybe I should have mentioned that in my earlier post.....everything else I've got laying around here - in the technical classification - is inventory. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

In person auto's only, else, false. Not getting why people in this day and age of electricity still buy non in person autos. This concern though, compared to thinking about what the deal was prior to the big bang and how long it took the final black hole to suck up all other black holes to where the mass of the main black hole condensed itself enough to finally big bang and provide us all this ability to still buy fake auto's, really freaks me out. What then was before the big bang ?

Kobe Bryant rarely, if ever, signed his last name and the handwriting on the shoes doesn't come close to resembling anything Kobe would have written in the years the shoe was manufactured. Save your money, no trusted authenticator will pass that signature.
