Neat die Crack, plus nice old holder (Gold, what else??)

Got this nice old ANA style holder today.. I love these things! I also noticed this 1927 $2 1/2 I just got in has a cool die crack running though the date. I haven't seen this die crack yet on one of these. I guess that's what the little blob is??

A lump in the interior of the coin is a die chip. If it would have occurred on the rim of the coin it would be a cud.

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
