Is your dealer friend as kind and generous as my dealer?
I have a certain shop I go and she lets me look and Cherry what ever my little heart desires! I mean she even allows me to go behind the counter and open the doors to the displays. (She doesn't want to bother getting up, I guess?) She trusts me that much. but the other area she is so generous in is the fact that when I turn my Silver in, she gives me back only $1 under spot! That is amazingly kind isn't it? In case your wondering, NO, she is not just an employee she owns the joint. and NO, she is happily married too. This dealer is just happy to do business with me. How's your dealer friend? Are they as generous as mine?

No. The dealers in my area are not very friendly, at all. They act suspicious, of all the customers, and are not very talkative. They don't want you to linger about, either. They want you in and OUT. That's why I shop on the NET. They don't generally have what I'm looking for, anyway, and I feel anxious, while I'm there.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

A few dealers and I have that kind of relationship. Although I'm a dealer as well so not sure if that makes a difference. One guy often goes and gets lunch while I'm there so I can work behind the counter should anyone walk in lol.
Yeah, most shops are similar to what you experienced. Thats why I consider myself pretty lucky in finding such a Dealer. To me, finding such a shop is no different than cherrypicking. Both are very satisfying!

Seriously though, he is a great guy, a farmer, sells some nice coins but the bulk of his business is purchasing and selling gold and silver.
His brothers own a nice gun shop right next to his coin shop.
A+ #1 people.
I'm not a fan of the only brick and mortar in my area. Not knowledgeable, and rude. I had an ebay business when I lived in another state, and it so happened to be the same name as their store, which I did not know when I moved here. I got a cease and desist from their lawyer soon after I moved here, wanting me to change my name. Turns out they were getting calls and lookers in the store wanting to see the coins that were on ebay. So basically, I was driving them business, lol. I happily changed my name, but I will never forget how rude they were. All it would have taken was a nice email or phone call, not threatening legal action.
A Dealer I have done deals with for 35 years is not only a Dealer but what I would consider a Very Good Acquaintance. Its always Great to just go what I am after and then BS for a hour or so. Both of us are getting old so this will not happen much longer.

No dealers here... or within a close drive. @PRECIOUSMENTAL ..."His brothers own a nice gun shop right next to his coin shop." They have GOT to be great people....
Cheers, RickO
My local dealer will call me if something good comes in and will meet me after hours to show it to me. He does not get much but will be glad to show me. I do not sell him anything, just buy. I do get to buy gold and silver American eagles at spot no premium. If I spend enough I get it a little under. I have watched him buy gold and silver and he does not pay well. He does not do the internet and all gold american eagles are treated the same regardless of year
