The coin on the bottom right corner of the last roll does showed a crack on the sleeve. As result, it contains a pointy tone. But.. the sleeves themselves seem to be crispy and dried out due to heat? Would the poor condition sleeves contribute to the toning?
I have a BU Morgan dollar pulled from an original 1882-O bag in 1962. This was put in a mylar flip and sealed. However, there was a tiny crack in the sealing, and at that point, and only that point the coin has toned -- darker at the crack point and lighter and spreading in a delta-shape for about 4mm.

the environment.
Please explain, I would like to learn the fact. Thx
I had seem some ase in dansco with similar toning not too long again from ebay.
the top of the flip is open and that is the area where the ASE's are toned.
yes, but because they were in the flips, only part of the SAE was exposed and that is where the toning starts
Looks like heat damage to me.
Normal environmental oxidation through the slit at the top of the holder. Common.
Looks like PVC flips to me. Scary.
Lance.

the environment because the holders are defective. I have also seen similar in graded holders so its just what it is.

toned by the paper labels that are next to the toning. note the heavier toning where the labels have red ink.

Great observation. It's plausible.
Environment... tarnished by the open end of the plastic flip.... Cheers, RickO
Yikes! I'd get them out of those holders.
