I will be set up there
Stop by and say hi to both Kranky and I at our table.
This is shameless self promotion I could use the business like so many others, but I admit it.
Trying to unload proof and mint sets. but will have a bunch of other stuff also.
Hi Pat I will stop by and visit you ...even bring a Napoli pizza!!!
Verno.
Isn't that located in Monroeville on 22?

Echoing PTVETTER's comment, stop by his table and say hello. I'm looking at you @Manorcourtman!
Board members Jfoot13 and shortgapbob will have tables as well.
It's a very nice show - great variety of material including exonumia, an elongated cent maker, competitive exhibits, supply dealers, bullion, foreign dealers, plus the John H. Burns Memorial Library (an area with dozens of numismatic books one can reference on the spot if desired). ANACS and SEGS on-site.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
I will be there Friday and Sat

Good to see all at the pan show today. I plan to write a detailed show report on Sunday, but wanted to weigh in that I thought the show was fairly well attended, lots of new out of town faces....folks were spending, that there were some big fresh deals were out on the floor, and the day definitely exceeded my modest expectations by a wide margin ....If you are at the show either Friday or Saturday, please stop by and say hello to me at table 401, Westmoreland Rare Coins
Ps...maybe we are at some kind of market/cycle bottom?
I loved doing this show when I was living in Pennsylvania. It is a great show well worth attending.

Looking forward to more extensive reports guys.... looks like it is shaping up to be a good show... Cheers, RickO
I attended the PAN show on Thursday. There was a lot of traffic on the bourse - I had to wait (or circle back) to see a number of tables, because there were so many people surrounding them. I'll let the dealers comment, but to me it seemed that there was a lot of business being transacted.
As always, I enjoyed the diversity of the show. I'm between sets, and looking for inspiration, and I especially appreciated perusing some cases of fantastic medals and tokens. One of my favorite aspects of coin shows is that dealers bring low value stuff that sells for too much on eBay (due to listing fees) - like AU Ikes (great for the grandkids) and boxes of G-VG barbers. There were some nice US coins to see, and I had fun talking with dealer friends about coins and kids and ideas for my next set.
At the end of the day, I came home with only one purchase - a darkside coin that doesn't fit with any of my sets. It's just such a beautiful design, and a great price with respect to spot gold, that how could I leave it behind? And I never would have found it (much less purchased it) on the internet! It will go in the miscellaneous box of 20. Feel free to GTG, if you can tell anything at all from my mediocre iPhone pix:
That is a beautiful 20 Franc. Great pick-up.
I wish!

That rooster looks like a 65 to me.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
It's actually a 66, and I think solid for grade. The iPhone subdues the outrageous luster, but emphasizes the tiny ticks.
@ProfLiz , I like your show purchase.
If that pic subdues the luster, it must require eye protection in person.
What approx size is that? Quarter, half?

It is totally a blazing fireball, just a wee bit smaller than a half eagle.
I used to go to the PAN show at least once a year and often went twice. Great show-cherrypicked lots of stuff over the years! Haven't been there for a decade or more-I don't like the 2 hour+ drive anymore.
