My favorite coin from 2016. Guess the grade and post your own. [UPDATE: GRADE POSTED IN LAST POST]

I finally got one of my favorite coins from 2017 imaged by @messydesk at central states.
Post your favorite coins from 2016 if you got one. Anyone care to guess the grade for this one?

Messydesk did a really good job. Can't recommend him enough if you need your coins photographed.
Grade: NGC MS65 PL
Another photo of the coin, that shows off the cameo on it more.

Census: 3 in PL, 2 better. Total of 14 graded for the date. This one is by far the most common in PL. Next closest one is 4 for the 1893-S. Total of 41 graded prooflike by NGC.
A clue that you can tell it was a PL is the weak denticles under the 1892 date. If it was a proof, there would be no weakness on the coin. Rims aren't square either(hard to see in this photo). It's a really nice coin that needs to be seen in hand. The reverse mirrors are deep and watery. The obverse mirrors are nice and watery as well, but the hazing keeps it back. Nice cameo on both sides. I could see how back in the day this coin could have been confused for a proof.
Too late for the GTG.... that is a great Barber quarter.... and nice grade as well... My only question is - why does the R in pluribus look so dark? Is there residue in there? A really great coin.... Cheers, RickO
I was afraid to GTG after the first couple PF guesses, since it looked MS to me. I was going to guess 64 or 65 PL depending on the luster. The fact that I'm terrible at assessing PL from photos also made me uncomfortable hazarding a guess.
The rims are the big indicator that it's an MS coin. While the strike is not 100% complete on the details, it's still better than some proofs I saw. The details on the obverse have a rough quality to them that seemed more characteristic of MS coins in general, but I am not familiar with Barbers. Does the roughness just come from how the dies themselves are made, or is there a difference in planchet preparation between MS and PF strikes on the barbers? When I look at certified proofs in the PCGS registry there seem to be varying levels of face smoothness.

@ricko Looks like left over toning that the dip didn't get out?
@neildrobertson Don't doubt yourself. You were right. The mirrors on the reverse are deeper than on the obverse. The obverse is a little hazy in spots(in front of Ms. Liberty) when you look at it spot on but as soon as you angle those mirrors just assault your eyes.
Another forum said that it's possible that it was struck with proof dies? Never crossed my eyes but definitely something for me to research on a rainy day.
