Collecting coins has truly afforded me an accurate perspective concerning time [1600 doesn't seem that long ago] and an appreciation for life :smile:
Probably just my older age.
What non numismatic thing have you acquired through coin collecting?

    An appreciation and a bit of skill (luck?) with macro photography.

    Meeting interesting collectors and dealers with whom I can share knowledge, experiences, stories and friendship. An appreciation for true condition rarity and absolute rarity and an outlet for my need to have order, completeness and to manifest my other OCDs. I have also learned a great deal about history and art appreciation through coinage.

    Yes, appreciation for history/governments/monetary policies. Strengthening my ties to places I've lived (Japan). Also a budding interest in photography, bullion, and even website builds. Enjoy travel more. And, also importantly, some good internet friends!
