I like em! Now you can gaze down and look at your cuff links. Then, all your friend and family will think your depressed and buy you more coins to make you happy again. Great thinking!!
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Interesting contrast between the copper and silver.... Are the coins coated? Or will you need to polish them to maintain the appearance?? Cheers, RickO
My father was born in 1915. He had gold cuff links made with 1915 $5 Gold pieces. I still have them in the lock box. The last time that I wore them was 19 years ago when I got married. I should get them out more often!
Is there a mintmark, perchance, on the reverse of the 1908?
Cufflinks...I've owned some nice ones for 50 years and I think I've worn them twice. Pretty sure I have at least one dress shirt that requires them, though.
Lance.
I think they were just buffed down to the red... I can't see any signs of coating but they do have an odd color to them.... the back side has blue and red toning in spots.... very odd

Are those birds (frame)?
Nice contrast, but...

Last time I went to a wedding, I kept checking my pockets 'cause I couldn't find my loupe. Limited market for denim tuxedos, I guess....

Successful trades.... MichaelDixon,
You probably should not do this... but a drop of acetone on the obverse will tell you if they are coated....but that would mess it up...Cheers, RickO
