Doing a little cleaning today, and received a small reward.
Found this little bag today while doing a little cleaning, it's from one of my GI Joes from when I was a kid that i had forgotten about and this is where I used to put coins I found. Dumped it out and this is what there was.
Looks like 9 1945 micro s mercs. and this Lincoln cent, best pics I can do , due to it's wear I don't think a positive analysis is possible. thoughts.

GI Joe did a little looting before returning to the states, eh?
Nice..... must have been a rush!!!
That is a treasure trove!
Check the fuel tank of Joe's Jeep,,,,,
Looks like the Jefferson bottom row to the left under the liberty nickel is a laminated obverse. Is it a war nickel?
What a fun re-discovery!
Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.
Joe led a very eventful life, from being shot with a bb gun , having darts thrown at him, thrown off the house in homemade parachutes, he survived many firecracker attacks, survived being drug from the back of a pu truck to the dump on many occasions. Joe never questioned his missions as he was a true Veteran. Alas, poor Joe finally meet his demise. Exactly how, I do not remember , but he faced his last mission like a trooper. Thanks for the memories Joe, RIP wherever you are.

Treasures!
Like that mini ditty bag

Wow... what a great discovery... lots of old silver.. and the cent looks like a '22D....hard to say for sure... Nice bunch of Mercs there.... Cheers, RickO
Good eye, that's what I thought . couple of pics.

A time capsule from your youth! What a treasure it is. But I cant help but think maybe the GI Joe doll would be worth a lot more than these forgotten coins, both in value and sentimentality.
Thanks for sharing this!

It looks like that laminated nickel spent some time in the trenches with old GI Joe.
My brothers and I used to have the GI Joe "footlocker" -- cool story and find, thanks for sharing it
That's REALLY cool!! Where in the world was it?
it somehow found it's way into this little box which was stuck in the back of a dresser drawer out in the utility room.
