Another new PO01 added to the collection...

Just got this one back in from PCGS. It's the only 1894 in poor graded by the service . Very happy to have this one back.

Congrats. Can't get much worn than that. Thanks for sharing.
Nice one. But when I saw the date before the pics loaded I was sooo hoping it was a Morgan. Cool coin but a p01 94p Morgan would be killer
lol, yeah it really would.

Wow.....I don't get it....but if your happy......I'm happy.
That's pretty worn that's for sure
HAPPY COLLECTING
I don't understand why you would slab a coin like that, also how on earth did they make out the date?
Because it's the only one that's ever been graded PO01, which gives it a premium in the lowball market. You can make out the date in hand.

I had no idea there was a lowball market. Amazing. Glad you got what you were after though.
And it's secure too! Just don't get it beaned or it won't be the lowest of the low!
It's a pretty large niche and growing especially with Morgan's but just about every series too. A true p01 with original surfaces is great coin
Unbelievable.....Congratulations... you are obviously very happy with the result... Cheers, RickO
Thanks ricko, I appreciate the support.

Same coin from the sub I posted last week. It was @basetsb 's coin inside of my submission.
But yeah, I already Got my feelings/point across about the poor market. My coins on eBay right now (the rest of the submission) are already pulling very well and they were put up less than 24 hours ago. Fun to see them go up constantly!
What are the black spots?
below the PO01 you should have had them put
aka: basal state 01 (also known as basal state 01)
which is another term for proof-01
a.k.a "The BUFFINATOR"
I meant poor-01 not proof-01 above.
obviously!
a.k.a "The BUFFINATOR"
Those aren't spots, they are dings in the coin.

For some reason that is very cool.
You have the best of the worst?
Haha, exactly.

afford: Can't say I disagree except that the challenge to find and grade PO 01's is massive. Like looking for MS68 Morgans. Scarce as hens teeth. Expensive too. Challenging for sure. Just another form of collecting and not such a boring one!
Try it you'll get hooked.
bob:)
4th best lowball CC morgan set.
He could lie and say it failed at CAC, which would make it even more desirable, lol
Wow. Looks like a PO00 to me.
Lance.
Not really. Its entirely possible for coins to have naturally circulated into this condition. I've been around many, many bins of culls, especially liberty head nickels and indians. The challenge is finding one that has original surfaces and natural wear. You have to be able to identify the date, type and mint mark (if applicable). It quite an arduous task with culls, as a great many of them are scratched, worn out, cleaned, bent, you name it.

I guess there is a fine line between dings and damage? That is one "slick nickel". No "Price Guide" value assessed. Congrats on "history in your hands". The stories that these worn down coins could tell.
BST transactions: dbldie55, jayPem, 78saen, UltraHighRelief, nibanny, liefgold, FallGuy, lkeigwin, mbogoman, Sandman70gt, keets, joeykoins, ianrussell (@GC), EagleEye, ThePennyLady, GRANDAM, Ilikecolor, Gluggo, okiedude, Voyageur, LJenkins11, fastfreddie, ms70, pursuitofliberty, ZoidMeister,Coin Finder, GotTheBug, edwardjulio, Coinnmore, Nickpatton, Namvet69,...
The dings on this coin were considered market acceptable for the grade at PCGS. It was hopeful when I sent it in and I was glad when it graded out straight. Out of a whole bin of culls, this was one of 4 that I was even considered and the only 1 that I sent in. That's how hard it is to find one that meets the standard for poors. You need the eye for it, so to speak.
