BEWARE: Ebay sellers UNETHICAL behavior

I purchased a coin last week for $9.61:
ebay.com/itm/1914-D-VG-Buffalo-Nickel-/302270043302
I promptly paid. Instead of receiving the coin this week, the seller cancelled the sale to me, refunded my money and relisted this same exact coin that I purchased from him for $39.99:
ebay.com/itm/1914-D-VG-Buffalo-Nickel-/302281475808?

Apparently this eBay seller, susantrueblue, has no sense of ethical behavior.

Make her an offer of the same amount and in your note tell her to accept or you'll be contacting ebay over her behavior.

I just sent the same offer with a note saying they sold it for $9.61 once and that is all it's worth.

With those garbage photos and no returns what do they expect? I certainly wouldn't bid strong on it, if even at all.

at least seller has to pay fees on the sale that was cancelled by the seller.

I just went to make a $9.00 offer and I see the item has been removed due to an error in the listing :)

"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."

Apparently the error was in assuming the previous buyer wouldn't notice, and now they are annoying him! :)

That is clearly unethical. I hope you left strong negative feedback. The amount would not be enough for me to send my man Guido to their residence, but they would know they were in dangerous territory. Cheers, RickO

My guess is that someone who missed out on the OP's initial windfall ratted him out to the seller. I detest eBay rat finks.
I once had a ratfink try to queer a deal on me for a top pop. Morgan purchase on eBay, messaging the seller that he had someone who would pay double what I had just paid. Fortunately the seller had admitted to me that the ratfink had been pestering him incessantly, trying to buy the coin for less than what I paid after the coin was re-listed with a variety attribution. He told the ratfink to pound sand.

    That's a 1914? From the photo, I don't see it.

So maybe the seller did you a favor cancelling the sale.

    That seller is a flake.

I would have let it go for what it sold for.

That happened to me once. I got a killer good deal on a coin and the dealer cancelled it and relisted the coin later. I mentioned it and they somehow blocked me because I was blocked from bidding on the relisted coin.

Just received the following message from this seller:

_New message from: susantrueblue (252Turquoise Star)

Just got home from vacation. Thought about the situation and I do agree that I shouldn't have done that. Poor judgement on my part. If I could make it up somehow let me know. If you're still interested in this coin I'll honor my original sale at 9.61 with free shipping. Just let me know. Again sorry for any inconvenience. Lesson learned. _
