Wait....maybe I don't feel sorry for him. Seems he nuked the sale and relisted it and sold for $60. Reading his feedback, seems he's done this before

    Mistakes happen.
What if you listed a coin of yours on ebay thinking it was a 99¢ auction but turns out you forgot to select auction.
    What would you do?

Take the Neg.... I'll refund double your money (in this case the $5.00 shipping being doubled) or send you a junk morgan to avoid the neg but your not getting a ngc or pcgs morgan for .99 cents from me... I also have 1700 feedback with 250 in the last 6 months so it would be a lot less of a sting for me

I have purchased some coins on eBay that were more 50 -75 % back of bid . sellers sent the coins after payments ...bought more from those sellers .... all depends what your business goals and horizon

in this case the seller listed it as buy it now instead of an auction (for .99 cents)... winning buyer probably bought it before the seller could attempt to fix it. if the buyer cant understand it was a mistake then i could care less about doing business with them.

I listed a $3 Indian Princess for $12.00 BIN instead of $1,200.00 and it sold in 3 minutes
I just issued a refund and any reasonable person would recognize that as a mistake.

    I'll take a neg instead of a $1,188 loss.

No kidding, I have 18K combined feedback and a seller account that I've been using since 1998, what's one neg. Even a neg you could get removed if you fight your case right on the phone.

Some mistakes a dealer can 'eat'....although they may be tough to swallow. Others, when major, are justifiably contested - or not honored. Yes, it will get a negative, but saves a MAJOR hit to the bank account. As long as it is not a monthly occurrence - then the seller should just retire and get medical help. ;) Cheers, RickO
