Did you find a long hair in a perfume-smelling slab?

I'd guess probably not, just due to the low percentage of women in the field. (Not to ignore Laura Sperber or Charmy or others)

I doubt the services are sexist, as the hobby has considerably more men tham women (which is a different discussion) I doubt there are many. I would be fine with female graders.

I met an NGC grader at ANA summer show last year who is a woman. She was at a table discussing Conder tokens, apparently one of the things she grades at NGC.

It isn't a male or a female thing but as others pointed out it's simple mathematics. Say there are 250 professional male dealers to every one female. Then say that maybe 1/2 of one percent of professional dealers would be qualified to grade professionally. Suddenly, there is virtually no pool of females from which to draw.

I would wager women would probably be good graders if they have an interest. If you are buying a used car take a nice lady with you. If there is a nick or a scratch she will find it!

If there isn't a nick or a scratch, let her drive it for a couple of minutes.....

I understand there are female graders.... from conversations I have had at large shows in the PNW. Not sure of any employment figures though... it would likely be low since it is a male heavy hobby... Cheers, RickO
