Bullion should not be graded
That's my thought. Have fun, all!
Cool giveaway. I always thought it would be nice to have a Full Hand designation on Walking Liberty Halves.
How about PCGS giving commemorative halves and other series the PL designation similar to NGC?
As a collector I completely agree, as an investor (of CLCT) I completely disagree.
Edited to include "of CLCT" for clarification.
If I win please award my prize to one of the youthful collectors here that has a limited budget.
Its a fine line between Collecting and investing. I don't think anyone collecting does not think that they are at least investing in something to pass on to the next generation, and in that, will help keep the industry alive for years to come.

If dollar coins featured reality TV 'stars'.....they would probably be in widespread circulation !

"History In Your Hands, Donald J. Trump, 45th President (tm)", is the biggest under / over in PCGS ASE promotional label history. I'll go under. DJT and ASEs? No-one cares.
Let's stay apolitical here.
Coin grading should have a separate label designation for degree of eye appeal of tarnished coins. Such as
MS69/EA9 (on a scale from 0-10). Cheers, RickO
Destroying any .001% chance that what I wrote would win, your telling me to be "apolitical here" is crazy.
IT'S FREAKING PICTURED. IMAGED. PRODUCED BY PCGS.
Wut.
I apologize to our Host! but PCGS should lower their submission fees to members.

I'm saying that your comment that "nobody cares" is rather obscene for an apolitical forum. So I'm saying, let's not bring our personal political feelings here.(*you're, for future reference)

State quarter binders should be hand out for free in public libraries. Kiddies can start up their own clubs, have fun socializing while learning our nation's history and obtain resources on site for reference.
P.S . edited
Freedom is when we can respect the beliefs of all, and still have our own beliefs.
I think the Mint should release the original Trump silver eagle proposed by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

(Really...how can this thread be apolitical? Let's toss aside PC this one time and have a little fun, shall we?)
One of the best TV quotes ever (IMHO) makes me think about numismatics. In the last episode of "The Office" Andy said, "I wish there was a way to know you’re in the 'good old days' before you’ve actually left them."
This draws my mind to the days before third party grading, eBay, gradeflation, the demise of B&Ms, and the like. Although I remain bullish on coin collecting, I think the "Golden Days" of numismatics has passed....

The Variety Attribution Quarterly special (April-Jun 2017) is a good idea, however, our host should reduce the attribution fee by half if the submitter correctly identifies the variety, saving the attributor time, which would save money. If the coin is not variety attributable, our host charges half of the present $18 per coin. Why not use the other side and charge half for a properly identified variety? ANACS does.
*Will I be charged if my coin does not qualify for Variety Attribution?*
In the event the coin does not qualify for a variety or is not a variety PCGS currently recognizes, PCGS will still charge a fee of $9 per coin. PCGS graders must examine the coin and research to determine whether or not a variety is appropriate. Thus the service is still provided. As a result, PCGS will only charge 50% of the original Variety Attribution fee.

"History in your Hands" - I was hoping PCGS was going to authenticate the size of Trump's hands.
No fair BD.
;-)
I vote to make this retroactive
Winner, it's over.
Here's an idea - moving from using images to using short videos when selling by using a little gizmo with a turntable and a phone holder to take short videos of coins accompanied by a simple app that takes the video and uploads to your youtube channel or instagram and create an embed code for your auction listing. Rotation would allow for showing surfaces and luster and having a standard set-up will allow people to shoot large volumes of coins.
Cheers!

Yeah. that's cheating. you don't see me posting both of my daughters, cat, dog and pet fish here.
I am getting my Grandchildren ages 5 and 11 interested in the hobby.
They understand the minting process, differences of copper, silver, gold.
It is also an economic lesson, showing how large a cent from the 18th Century had much more purchasing power.
Have a few games involving pocket change such as finding a certain year-mint mark.
We have a good time doing it.
Liberty's hands are the same size as Trumps....
Don't quote me on that.
My numismatic thought: No one is going to like other posts with a silver eagle on the line

Am i right ??
Numismatically and PC wise, it is only a matter of time before the ** image of a male bald eagle flying over the family nest** on the AGE's is replaced by another gender neutral bird.

Donald Trump is the GREATEST person to ever have his photo on a PCGS Label
I think PCGS should add another choice Flag Quote · Disagree Agree Like LOL and a rude choice
PCGS slabs should be marked as " Made in U.S.A" . Chinese factories are lack of quality control.
Slabs should be dated on the time of sealed.
Dan Carr / Moonlight Mint products are one of the most fun and profitable aspects of modern numismatics!
(there's my thought and I'm sticking to it)
Give it to the little girl!
No! she already got a box full!
Two can play at that game Barndog
A coin is never worth as much as you want it to be worth, LOL
Buy the coin NOT the slab.
C'mon! You gotta have the image displayed in the post, USMarine6. She's adorable too.

An interesting yet accurate observation.
