Check out my Dansco album! Dime album to be exact. LCS buy

Just a little show and tell for my fellow Dansco album lover's! Picked this up at my LCS for a few bucks over spot. Coins seem to be unc and all have a bit of color.

The album is dated 1952. Does anyone know why they did not print dates in the album after 1952?

I will most likely keep it as is. A time capsule in my eyes

When I seen this one I had to buy it. It reminded me of being a kid filing an album growing up. I wish I knew the history on this. Its value is minimal but its full of history.

This is probably the very first edition of a Roosevelt Dime folder made by DANSCO, published as early as late 1945, when there was no certainty about how many years that the branch mints would remain in operation. Also, much like Whitman still does today, they tend to publish revised editions of series folders to apparently encourage collectors to replace their folders as they age.

Nice buy! Its interesting to note the prices penciled in for the 47-s and 49-s. These could give a hint as to when the set was beginning to be assembled.

How fun is it to think of this folder being filled, year by year.

Here's a pic of my green Dansco.

I filled it up out of junk boxes and finished with help from @coinzip (ty). There is no inner paper, and therefore no date. The dates/mm run to 1966, and are correct except for 65 & 66, for which there are holes for Denver. Have yet to find those coins:)

Those old folders are nice... I have a couple... actually got them partially filled from the BST about fifteen years ago....Cheers, RickO

That 1981 looks like silver on my monitor.

Interesting that the collector put the obverse up for the P mint coin and showed the reverse for the branch mint issues. Never seen a coin album with coins oriented this way.

@ JBN When I was collecting from change finds back in the
mid 1960's showing the m.m. was done this way.

    Its a 61. They end at 1964

I think some of them have nice color and I would like to see the obverse but scared to push them out. My luck I would break the album
