Must be my month for change finds.

I posted earlier that I found a 1964 dime on the ground at the Disney store on Michigan in Chicago a couple of weeks back. Then a few days ago I spied a mercury dime in the till at a store down the street. Yesterday I took my son to Disc Replay, a used computer game chain, to let him pick a small prize for being in his first chess tournament on Sunday. Think "pawn shop for kids". No surprise, then, that I got this interesting piece in change...
We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

Woodburned variety because of the textured color. I wish when you grade that one pcgs would allow you to customize the insert with where you found it. That would be neat looking alltogether (with a vintage slab).
That coin has not been in circulation long. That has got to be one of the nicest 99 year old coins I have ever seen come out of circulation.
My thoughts, too. The reason I mentioned where it was found was because I suspect someone dipped into a coin collection to buy a video game component. Have to admit I'm glad I was the one to get it. It would be a shame to have a coin this interesting get ground down by commerce. She safely resides in a new 2x2 where her delicate surfaces will hopefully remain intact for another 100 years.

Your cent will be 100 years old next year.
Wow. Killer woody!
If they straight grade it. The tpgs typically don't like to straight grade Lincoln's with wood grain patterns, especially ones to this degree unfortunately.
That doesn't seem fair because it is real and not fake (natural vs not-natural).
Found in 'take a cent' tray today
