I was offered 104.00 plus free shiping. I see them at 114.00 buy it now. I guess there will be others that follow who are trying to sell at yesterdays prices around 139.00 on up. My guess by Saturday you will see them around 95.00 or so. Just my thought.

Don't see a reason for a separate thread but we will see what prices do
I am patient for around $80 entry pricing.
Did they sell out??? The site says not available..... I did receive an email from the Mint saying they were available..... I checked immediately, and it was unavailable. That was an incredibly fast sell out.... Cheers, RickO
Note to flippers: Sell now.
Remember the low-mintage 2016 American Liberty Silver Medal?
$34.95 issue price quickly spiked to $180 on the secondary market. Today they sell for about $90 in OGP.

They sold out in 120 seconds, lol
I missed the boat, and this boat likely sailed, went to sea, and the people on the cruise are playing slots that will payout > 100% & never to return.
I wonder if dealers, those not gaming the system, still receive a discount and If their orders print on a separate set of tickets.
I kind of remember they gave (did? does?) discounts to dealers on quantity orders. Great time for a bulk order on a no HH limit item... even better if it is with a discount.... unsure if they get any other treatment like a separate pick ticket list.
@boyernumismatics ....Holy fecal matter!!! "They sold out in 120 seconds, lol" Really??? Wow.... I was going to get one.... just because, no particular reason.... Had no idea people were hot after these... Cheers, RickO
@ricko And they are blast white to boot!!!
@thebigeng... that is what hurts so much....
Cheers, RickO
Ricko. Check the mint page at 7:30am on the dot tomorrow and you might be able to grab one or two. Not 7:31, not 7:35... 7:30 est SHARP. A very few might be put up again due to bad credit cards and the like.
7:30 ET?
7:30 ET?
Yes. 4:30am pacific, 7:30am Eastern
There were none available that I saw at 7:30 am this morning
A few were available the last 2 days I believe so it looks like they may be gonzo then. You could try again Monday
I sat on the site from 07:20 to 08:23... refreshing every 60-90 seconds... none available... oh well, was not a 'must have' thing...I just like ASE's... Cheers, RickO
At one point this morning it looked like they removed the 2017 set entirely, but it reappeared after a couple of minutes. I checked on my phone and laptop.....looks like they refreshed the 2016 Congrats supply maybe to confuse some folks
Dean2
Don't quote me on that.
I slept in! Looks like I didn't miss anything..
There is still no guarantee that this set is the only place that coin will appear this year...or am I confused?

Correct. Limits: 75,000 of the Congrats paper. No limit on the 2017-S Silver Eagle.
"Congratulations" to anyone who flips this. Not so much for the other side.
I was under the impression that this discount did not apply to "special collectibles" such as coins with limited mintages like this one.

Not sure how one would apply a discount on a telephone sale which sells out in 2 minutes. But then, if someone ordered 100 of these, the price would exceed that $5,000 threshold.
The name is LEE!
So did I and the opportunity to make some money slept in with me.

I caved in on one at $112. Since these will be in the Limited Edition Sets which have a price of $139(?) I figured I was saving $25 by getting the coin today. Plus, I wouldn't have to figure out how to get rid of the other silver coins in the set.
And then there's always the possibility that something would go wrong with the packaging on the Limited Edition sets like 2014.

I remain in at $80. Grasshopper.

I already saw a $79.95 Buy it now on Ebay.

That was the first day. Looks like the figured out they were worth more.

Current melt on the other silver coins is about $24. You could just throw them in with any other 90% silver you might have. Also, the silver half dollar usually carries a bit of a premium.
*congratulation
mark
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Maybe "congradulation" ought to be a new word. 2 meanings:
congrats + graduation
congrats + adulation
More importantly, can I make money by inventing a new word?

Sure why not? Go ahead and print yourself a mega-bazillion dollars bill
BIN this AM sold for $139.95...yesterday two went for $119.95...BIN
Can't really say the price is crashing....but...not many have shipped yet either. Eventually we'll see what the graded ones will go for
There is a seller that has sold 50 singles so far starting at $119.95 and working his way up to the present $139.95. Market is just forming
I was going to sell mine, but sent them ATS this morning. I think the big dealer set his prices low for the PCGS's. I had to do the math and to make up my grading fees, I will have to go 13 (70)'s and 7(69)'s. Just to break even with selling them raw! I think I should have sold them raw on the bay then bought a couple 70's from them! My ultimate goal is to sell enough to pay for everything then keep the rest, hope there will be a couple left, LOL!
I learned today that this particular coin will be offered in the Limited Edition Proof Set later on. I learned this from a US Mint Representative today. What I do not know is what the total mintage will be. So I am not buying for now.. If this information may have been reported earlier, my apologies..
No apologies needed, but as far as I know the answers are all known by now, so you can get the information you need to make an informed choice....
thebigeng ....read the main thread about this issue. Has all the info you need.....LE Proof set inclusion was mentioned before the Congrats set went on sale
..also last sale (today) went for $139.95. Pretty stable price right now
@BigA Thanks! I guess I like the LE set over the other, more silver coins, hopefully a better chance to own an S mint Silver Eagle for 2017
It will be interesting to see the mintage limit (and HH) of the LE sets....at $150 they will be another way to get an S....only if they don't screw it up and put a W PF in there also and raise the price to $200+...Since it IS normally all the PF silver coins issued
Yup. And I think the Mint's strategy all along is to make the LE Set much more desirable.
That is, they don't want to get stuck with a big overpriced inventory that no one wants to buy (i.e., the 2016 LE Set).

Fourth post in the main thread. This was known very early on...

Well, it makes sense from the standpoint all the coins in the set will now be from 'Frisco. The could rename it to the SF LE set...
Problem with the LE silver set is the premium they put on it. That's why the Congrats set was more desirable.
A more appropriate title to this thread should be "Prices climbing on Congratulation Sets".
