4/5/17 Marks 5 years since the passing of SeaEagleCoins aka Larry Greenstone

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in a while and sorry to add a bit of a somber post today. On 4/5/2012, Larry Greenstone who was known as SeaEagleCoins here passed away. He was a good friend to me and many of us on the board, and an all around great guy. He is one of the most honest dealers I have met, and I will always cherish the coins I purchased from him. We always had fun conversations at the local Parsippany shows, and he was always my first stop.
Here is one of my favorite coins from Larry. It wasn't expensive, but I always remember buying it from him. Please post your stories about him or coins you purchased from him!
Ankur
All coins kept in bank vaults.

Larry was one of those salt of the earth folks who knew much more than he admitted, had done more than he talked about and was humble about any shortcoming, both real or imagined. Larry was a real good guy.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Nice to hear from you, Ankur. You're one of the "good guys." For sure.
I'm sorry you folks lost your friend. Your kind words about him are a testament to how much of a great person he was. The world was better for having him, it sounds like.
Can't believe it's been 5 years.
Larry was a fantastic guy and a good friend. I miss him terribly.
I miss hanging out, ostensibly to go over coins but really to order Chinese and hang out BSing for hours.
I miss road trips down to Baltimore. Hanging out at shows. Grabbing dinner. Talking about the Grateful Dead.
I miss Larry. A lot.
Only Larry could bring koolaid back.
He truly was a standup guy. Loved to play with overtones and was just a collector's dealer.
he is missed
I never met Larry, however, I do remember him here on the forum.. and recall his passing. I enjoyed his posts and thoughtful contributions to discussions. Cheers, RickO
I actually bought a nice AU58 CBH from Larry at the Watching Hills coin show. He was always nice to talk to.
Thanks for sharing everyone!
