Does PCGS Upgrade on Crossovers?

Have a few + coins was wondering if they go by the min grade or will they upgrade if they feel it should?

PCGS will upgrade a coin upon crossover if they feel it deserves the upgrade; it has happened for me many times. However, you cannot specify that a coin cross only if it is given a higher grade.

Yes, did it a few times. I would say about 2%-5% on my submissions.

Yes, I have had this happen......usually on circulated coins in the old white anacs holder.

Yes. Had a 63 $2.5 Sesquicentennial go 63+ on crossing.

Yes, they "do their own work", and don't just rubber stamp the old grade.

Even us little guys can get lucky. I had an old ANACS AU-58 go to MS-62. Granted, that isn't exactly a huge leap of grade or value, (given what MS-62 often means)...but I was pleasantly surprised.
