    I think the friendliest coin collectors collect exonumia ... hmmm, that is, unless you count John J. Ford, in which case one might say the grumpiest collectors collect exonumia. :o;)

    I'm addicted to exonumia ... it is numismatic crack!

    Maybe finicky more so than grumpy. The Washington quarter guys take the cake.....followed by Copper.

    Morgan buyers are happy as long as the coin is heavy and round.

    Quarter guys more finicky than Copper guys? EACers will win than contest by a country mile.

    The friendliest collectors collect inventory.

    The grumpiest collectors collect hyped high end coins they are buried in.

    As a 3C nickel collector, I'm offended, and I will never talk to you again. Harumph.

    I think we should just send this question in to PCGS and let them decide.

    Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

    This question deserves to be cracked out and resubmitted for better responses!

    It would probably grade "questionable color". ;)

    The grumpiest are those that insist that every XF Indian Cent shows four diamonds, or every VF Buffalo shows a full sharp horn. The nicest are those that realize that yes, there ARE some dates that usually come weakly struck.

    ~~~Here's a little song I wrote
    You might want to sing it note for note
    Don't worry, be happy
    In every life we have some trouble
    When you worry you make it double
    Don't worry, be happy~~~ I just go with the flow, takes a bit to make me upset.... ;) Just a happy guy... :D Cheers, RickO
    Maybe the level of grumpiness goes by their preferred grading system, rather than the type of coin collected?
    NGC = Nationwide Grumpy Collectors? :o
    PCGS = Polite Collectors with Grumpy Spouses? :o
    ANACS = A National Association of Crabby Set-builders? :o
    ICG = International Coin Grouches? :o
    SEGS = Seated Experts - Grouches Supreme? :o
    EAC = Expert American Curmudgeons? :open_mouth:
    OK, I'll stop now- I'm about to get sued by grumpy lawyers from six different numismatic organizations.
