1894 Indian Cent/ Mint Made Error or Man Made Mischief?

VernoVerno Posts: 327 ✭✭✭

Thank you to all the error experts out there, I'm batting about .500 on the errors....not too bad...
My guess is post mint on this one, but not sure....very dramatic in hand....thoughts??
Thanks and appreciate borrowing your knowledge...
Regards, RJ

I used to do this with coins as a kid. Put one coin on top of another and whack it with a hammer.

The 2nd imprint is incused, reversed, and the coin is slightly flattened.

    Nothing good about this.

100 percent man-made, post-mint damage. Not a mint error. I'd probably throw that in circulation as a novelty.

Yep... PMD.... Much like 'vise' coins made today to fool new collectors... Cheers, RickO
