From my own change jar! I keep a plastic container in the center console of the car to throw all my change in and go cash it in once it gets fairly full. I very rarely/never check out my change, just toss it right into the container. Ran it through the machine and these were left in the bin after counting was complete. Also had a 2006 quarter that it wouldn't accept, it seems a bit off and maybe feels a bit light, maybe counterfeit? It's looks like a sandwich compared to the average quarter. No scale so don't have a definite answer on the weight. Any ideas?

Are you sure they are from 'your' change' or were they in the reject bin before you got there?

A mild nitric acid will eat away at the rim of clad coinage, the most vulnerable spot. Better than my broken paper clip find.

Nice...two Mercs.... I agree with the comment above about checking the reject bin before you dump your coins...I know I would have seen Mercs in change.... I always do a 'scan' before putting the change in my pocket...Cheers, RickO
