Collector Club Question

How come...

The Walking Liberty series does not have it's own nationally recognized club or society (that I am aware of). All others seem to...

Barber Half collectors have one and so do Bust Half Nuts and Liberty Seated enthusiasts. I don't get it.

And please don't ask me to start one, as I'm not good at that sort of thing, but I sure wish someone else would, as I feel that it would be a very popular and positive organization and I would gladly support it.

Thoughts?

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Walkers are my favorite series to collect, but I'm not sure what good a collectors society would do for me other than provide an additional source of envy.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

I believe that it would provide: Newletters, education, discussion, networking, buy/sell opportunities and fellowship. That's good enough for me and the other groups seem to really like it.

Although not a Walking Liberty Collector, I have always thought the design was an excellent one. Walkerfan's idea for a WLCC (Walking Liberty Collectors Club) is probably 'over due'. The series has finally been recognized by many as a serious and rewarding numismatic adventure. As a member of the Liberty Seated Collectors Club (LSCC), I can attest to what a major positive impact that organization has made for me and other collectors of that series. I will take dedicated people to make it happen, but I believe it would be well worth the effort ~ Good Luck !

At one time there was a group of mercury, dime collectors that were on this board.
Maybe some of the walker guys can get together and enjoy that series?
But nothing will equal the old Mercury dime group, in fact some are still around!

The Walker design remains my favorite for halves. I was so happy when they chose to model the SAE's after it!
