ebay bidding. just so you know!

DO NOT BID BILLIONS OF DOLLARS!

being exhausted, being a copy/paste fanatic, multi-tabbing and bidding on and removing items is just not a good combination. good thing i don't drink, gawd only knows what would happen!

image

i'm also a little miffed. the message says that amount is too high but that if i have a paypal account i can then bid? implying it is ok to bid that amount if the listed item is that much?

Did you create an account just to do this? You sure are not buying much of anything on eBay if you do not have PayPal.

Reminds me of the time a guy put in a stupid high sniper bid for a coin. Just to find out seconds later someone else did the same thing which resulted in him winning a $50 coin for $1500 & change. LOL.... I'm sure it's happens every day on the 'bay.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Reaper'ing an older thread that is one of your own is classic, especially when it's good for a laugh image

I gotta ask though...is your avatar a glamour shot of Ronan Farrow???

ya. i figured if others laughed even 1/10th as much as i did at this event, it was worth posting and then ttt a few times over a few years.

here is the answer you seek. part I

part II - is that i chose this one to be my avatar for some time to come as it is my favorite next to the astronomical singularity that CAF and I are fond of that I used a while back. but this one elicits so much emotional and intellectual stimulation for me partly because it reminds me of one of the quotes i've been working on. since i'm a big fan of emotional and intellectual stimulating quotes, i'm trying to come up with a few of my own, or at least think are my own. we are influenced so much by that which is around us, it is difficult to know what is original or even can be. but here is the quote which may only be a work in progress. idk yet. - even if it is one that is already known, it will stay on one of my lists.

"we are all everyone; we are all no one"

it is supposed to make us think about how to know others by knowing more about ourselves.

but we are pretty far away from a multi-billion dollar ebay bid. or are we? image

It appears ebay was giving you two separate and unrelated messages. One: It will not accept that price. Two: you can't bid on his stuff anyways, because you don't have paypal set up. You would need to correct both to bid.

What I find interesting is that someone had to put that line of code into the program which equivilated (is that a word?)to "too large" of a bid. Someone must have placed a super nuclear bid before and could not settle-up.
