Wow! PCGS MS65 Saints for $1630?

vprvpr Posts: 622 ✭✭✭

They were $2K+ just a couple of years ago. Apmex has them on Ebay for $1630. If we get an Ebay bucks offer, it's basically like getting them for $1500. Are there any coins that have gone up in value, the past couple of years?

Yes, but not many. The 1963 Franklin in FBL has.

What type of eBay Bucks offers do you get that would give you $130 credit on a $1600 coin?

$100 of Ebay bucks and 2% cash back on my credit card = $1500

That's sort of what happens when pops continue to increase and CAC only stickers 5-15% of them.

CAC happened. Your non-stickered coins are just not as desirable anymore. Muahahaha!

$500 over melt is hardly bullion but these prices have nosedived for years now. Remember 2008-09 when generic PCGS 65 Saints were $2500? Seems like only yesterday.......okay maybe last year but still.

P.S. If you buy one direct from APMEX their cash price is $1566 (03/14/17). APMEX PCGS MS65 Saint for $1566

I have a couple of MS61 rattler Saints that looks better than most of today's MS64/65s

No way! If so, crack and resubmit.

I spoke to a dealer who sold his MS65 Saint for under $1600 at the ANA FUN show and bought ones he liked more for around $1500. Good luck getting a cac sticker on these, I ran one through recently that a dealer said had a star/plus or upgrade liklihood and no dice on that one. Probably cac is less than 5% on cac stickers on 65/66 Saints.

Not good for inventory turnover, but likely some nice buying opportunities.... ;) Cheers, RickO

Totally agree. Good time for buying. Ms63 saints are especially a bargain.

Keep in mind that these are common dates and they only contain $1165 in gold. Premiums for these are likely to continue their decline. For these reasons "I'm out."

For the stacker who likes certified $20 gold here's the bargain (with ebay bonus bucks)
