Do your Homework, dude! Pictures added. w/Red Book Prices!
I'm going to make myself stay after school! LOL Yesterday, I went Cherry picking and found an old Red Book. Well, at least 15 yrs. old. It was the 55th Issue! The 2002 Edition. I remember (or at least I thought I did?) searching for prices of all the Red Books. I recalled, that the 55th Issue was one of the Biggies. The ANA Special Issue! It listed for $135 in decent shape. This one was in excellent condition. All the Dealer wanted was $5. I couldn't pay him fast enough. So when I got home, I realized it specifically, was not that issue! GRRRRR. I did it again, Me being in a rush, I wasn't thinking that the prices in the Red Book also had some other 55th issues? Just like my 1998 Proof Set Close AM Cherry, awhile back, too much in a hurry before examining the Set closer than getting home and the Obverse of the Cent had an issue on the coin. Oh well, that's what I get for NOT doing my Homework.

Yeah, your right! That's what I keep telling myself. It is a nice read for only $5,

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I never realized that any recent Red Book (ie less than 30-40+ yrs old) would be worth much of anything. Must be a ton of 1962-1965 red books out there. Also 1979-1980 and 1989-1990.
Excitement can cloud your judgment in this hobby, for sure!
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Yes, but only a few have got that Monster Price worth. The ANA 55th Special Issue (not the one I bought) is one of them! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yes Joe, the Blue Book library is profitable as well.
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. The Blue Book was very "profitable".....for the dealers that used it to buy coins. It was pretty ludicrous and worth a few good laughs any time I looked at it.
Yeah, it must be nice to post your own prices, huh? In the Red Book, as well as, The Blue Book.
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. The early 60's RBs were printed in huge quantities, the surge in collectors up to and after silver was pulled, plus other hype. That was the record era for collecting.
....and can cloud your judgement in many other things as well.
Yep.... excitement in any venue has a tendency to sweep logic and reason aside.... in everything from numismatics to love....

Cheers, RickO
At least it wasn't a cup of Starbucks coffee; you would have NOTHING today.
Man!! Do I feel old? A 2002 Redbook being called "Old". LOL!!!
Here is the book that never turned out to be THEE Book! The writing on the back (in which is pictured) got me to believe that this was the Big one. Still, not bad for only $5, for a 15 Yr. old Red Book, right? also, what great condition, as well.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Sounds like a lesson between investing and collecting. If you had needed the 55th Edition for your collection, you would have been happy if it was worth $5 or $150. If you bought it because you thought it was worth $150 and you were getting it for $5 and then you found out it was only worth $5, you were investing. Not saying we do not all do it. Just saying makes you want to kind of say Hmmmmm.......
Na! I bought it thinking I'd only paid $5 for a $130 Red Book! LOL
