When's the last time anyone found a silver coin in their change? Got mine today at ShopRite.

I must admit she hid well in my pocket change, but......there was something about her that me take a second look.
I know she ain't much to look at, but she's mine.
Anyone else?

It's been about 2 years ago for me- a war nickel. However........
I did get a BU 1943 steel cent last year at a DQ. Kid didn't even hesitate to give me this back in change...sort of a bittersweet moment- torn between the young mans lack of awareness, and my Dilly Bar I suppose. Oh well, in hindsight I should have asked if he had any more...maybe they broke open an old roll from a bank that had these tucked away? Oh well....
Sorry for the "steel" intrusion but it's shiny white/grey- worth a bit more than a circulated silver quarter I suppose so maybe it could make the grade for this post?
Recently bid and won a small cast iron, perhaps pewter church bank with a few coins inside from a local auction. Once I was home, had to shake the coins out as there was no rubber plug or lock and key which reminded me that a church is not a bank meaning one never gets his money back only its value..... But anyway, all the coins were Canadian dated 1961 to 1974 but no silver. And I live in he Midwest but a lot of the auction stuff has been coming from a Wisconsin collector. So...it can be said, it was closer to the border that I am.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

Last week I received in change a 1970-s & 1974-s proof Lincoln cents.
The only silver I have 'found' lately has been in the Coinstar... two dimes, separate times... Those little treasures sure do make one feel good.... Cheers, RickO
Last year I got a SLQ in change. It was in good shape too.
