I had a good laugh at this, so I thought I'd share it with you all. Here we have a very bad photoshop job, but nonetheless I found it hilarious.

You all have a great day!

I remember those all over the beach.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

It wouldn't surprise me to see PCGS, NGC, or ANACS certify one!

Was watching "The Verdict" (1982, Paul Newman) the other day, and saw him pull the tab on a can of Bud and toss the tab away. I caught the action, my wife & son did not. They did pick up on the old style push-button, corded desk phones though. Good flick.

In college chains of beer pop-tops were strung everywhere. Some kind of drunken art.

    Anyone remember that?

Tabs like this are becoming harder to find when metal detecting after you have gone over an are numerous times. This one would have extra value since it is intact. I wonder if it would only get a genuine grade if it was in two pieces. :);) Hopefully it won't be cracked out and sent in for a higher grade.

Beer can collecting and breweriana were HUGE back in the day. Some people still collect them. I wouldn't be too surprised, if they were graded like coins and comics are, someday.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Yep... I recall opening many of those cans... and finding them while MD'ing (cussing each one).... and yes, we did make a few 'beer top chains'...Hunting camp memorabilia... and, just for posterity... opening cans with a 'church key' was a way of life long before the modern convenience of pop tops. Cheers, RickO

Way before my time. Not really. I do remember that the amimal rights people were very much responsible for getting them banned because little fish would swim into them and the ring would be permanently caught around the little fish. Then the little fish became big fish with the little ring around their big fish body. Use your imagination. The photos were gruesome.

It's nice, but for it to truly be special they need to list the provenance on the slab.
