Numismatics on Instagram

Does anybody else here have a numismatic Instagram? It's actually a pretty big community. There are people who post pictures and people who buy/sell/trade. I am @KellenCoin

I just recently started on Instagram and was pleasantly surprised by coin community presence there. I started a similar thread as this just recently and not a lot of feedback, only a few forum members replied. I'll look you up.

Some YN's encouraged me to start an Instagram and I'm glad I did. It's a fun group there. What's really blown away is the level of collecting and intelligence in the YN community there. Some of these kids are off the charts smart and are going to be the next big dealers in the industry. Mark my words. It's so much so that I'd wager that the future of the hobby could be impacted by some work developing more young collectors there.
I started posting pictures there two years ago as theskywalkerscoins.
The battle scars of all the good times
I have an instagram presence, however, do not frequent as much as I should...too many other interests. I am not surprised at the YN presence.... Instagram and such immediate venues are more suitable to youth communication methods. Cheers, RickO
I post new buys on random occasions. I also frequent the hashtags that are related to coins. Lots of lovely coins are posts of all areas.

I am a 13 year old YN who has a Youtube and Instagram. I agree with you about the community, and the kids are smart, but they do not Know enough. They haven't learned enough to be the future. That is where we need improvement.

I'm @PA_Coins. One of the largest pages almost 6000 followers
I would say that contrary to many opinions about the hobby dying.... it is alive and healthy with YN's if one knows where to look.... and instagram seems to be a place to look.... Cheers, RickO
Just started an account a few weeks ago (@jlnumismatics). Like everyone else, I was surprised to see so many collectors posting. Certainly is refreshing that a new generation is finding a way to stay engaged in the hobby.

I agree! Even though there is a decline I the hobby numbers, there are more people than we think!

@KellenCoin...Why do you say there has been a decline in the hobby numbers? Has there been a study that indicates this? Cheers, RickO
