Can anybody recommend a good app or program to track your collection. I'm not a big time collector

but would like to get a better handle on what I do have.

There are several apps. Just search "coin" or "numismatics"

I just have an Excel spreadsheet. Never thought of an app and the spreadsheet works great for me.
I'm sure OP is aware that multiple apps exist. I'm also curious if anybody has any feedback on features or if there is a consensus "best" app.
Thanks, looking forward to more ideas. I appreciate any feedback
These aren't collection trackers, but the PCGS PhotoGrade, Price Guide, and Coingacts apps are really good.

Thanks Kellen. Just downloaded those too.
Kind of a tracking program...Not sure what you collect but this is a great open registry...

Carlisle Development has a mobile app companion to its Collector Assistant; I've been using it:

Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I use the PCGS inventory offering here. It's great, in that you can save your images as well. List you price paid and the inventory automatically updates current values based on price guide. Easy to build sets or showcases from it.
I use the PCGS inventory as well. Works great. I only wish PCGS would let us use raw coins and non-PCGS coins in the Showcase sets.
I use coin elite, it's easy to use and is very reliable

I use excel spreadsheet and PCGS Inventory Manager for PCGS material along with NGC Collection Manager for NGC material. In addition there is a removable sticker on the back of the holder with the cost and retail codes.
I just line my coins up in columns. Dimes here, nickles there.

CoinElite did have a really good program for coin collections.. I used it about ten years ago... drifted away after I moved across country. I should see if it is still compatible with my software today... probably not... Cheers, RickO
I just check the Smithsonian Museum. They keep an accurate list of my collection.
I think I'll just start with excel for now. Thanks for the suggestions. I know people try and be funny but I do appreciate both the jokes and serious suggestions. I didn't grow up collecting and have been a pretty casual collector for years. I have learned a lot from you all on this board and I can't thank you all enough!
Take a look at what CollectiveCoin offers.
It depends on what you what in an app
