1630BostonPosts, there appears to be a new button / drop down on the top line when you post a message or edit. The next to the last one on the right is to attach a file (NOT TO ATTACH AN IMAGE / PHOTO). The one on the far right is to attach an IMAGE. Using this will attach and post the photo.

You can then click on preview to see if you have the photo included. Once you have it right, click on "Post Comment."

I had this problem this morning also. It appears that they added the new button last night (?).

Yes they added a new button to the interface.

The far right hand button gets you the pic inside the message

The button second from the right, gets you an attached file

If you want an image to appear alongside your text just drag it in. No need to use any of the tool buttons.

For 30 or so years I have collected the Dollars of 1798 by Die Marriage and Die State. I especially love late die states.

Here is one of my favorite 1798 Dollars, a Very Late Die State 1798 B-16, BB-110 (Bolender-16, Bowers Borckardt-110) die marriage in PCGS MS62 CAC. This is an R-6 die marriage, with 20-30 known examples. The majority of the these are found in lower grades.

This is the only Mint State example of the Die Marriage, and the only example with a cud. Very few early dollars are known with cuds.

Bolender published his book The United States Early Silver Dollars from 1794 to 1803 in 1950. At the time of publication he had only seen one example of this die marriage! The Bolender example grades PCGS AU55 today, and is the second finest known example to me. The Bolender 1798 B-16, BB-110 is part of the Miller early dollar collection and can be seen on my website at:

1630Boston - Your 1799 Dollar appears to be a nice example of the 1799/8 B-3, BB-141 die marriage with the "15 Star Reverse."

There is part of the 8 showing under the second 9 in the date, resulting in the 1799/8 overdated obverse die.

For those not familiar with the 15 Star Reverse (vs. the "normal" 13 Star Reverse), look closely at the bottom of the first and last clouds on the reverse. If your eyes are sharp or you use a magnifying glass on the photo, you can see a star point peeking out from the lower part of each of these two clouds!

This same reverse die was also paired with regular 1799 dated obverse (with no overdate).

I originally bought it in an OGH as a 62. It received the 62+ and then cac'd. With that said I believe it should be in a 3 holder. The glamour shot makes it look better than at actually is. It dosent show the slight hairlines that it is.
