Interesting 2017 Silver Eagle Pop Report Annotation

for the 2017 SAE, says "out of 225,000 submitted". Does that mean the pops will eventually show that many graded or the others were rejected for being below the minimum grade? I assume the remaining have been rejected. No other year has this annotation. Maybe this is to show why there are more 70's than 69's and head off another 69 vs 70 debate.

or they haven't finished grading the 225,000 submissions. Hard to believe 16,000 would not grade.
No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
It doesn't make sense that out of approx 225,000 submitted that 70s would outnumber 69s by 3 to 1 with the remainder being 68s or less.
Also how are they grading 2017-W when they don't show as being sold yet? 2016-W were released on 12/01/16 so maybe there is a typo.
They haven't graded any 2017-W.
They graded 8,800 2017 Bullion Eagles as 2017(W) minted at West Point with no mintmark.

Oops - my bad!
This was just me (David Rosenberg - VP, Operations) testing something... as you folks are probably aware, we have a lot of submitters who send in Silver Eagles (and other coins!) with a min-grade of MS70. The coins that don't meet this minimum grade are returned to the customer raw. This sometimes makes some interesting POP numbers where you see dramatically fewer MS69's than you would expect.
I was testing a potential new website feature where we put some text in the coin description to list approximately how many coins were submitted, so that folks would know that there were many coins returned raw. That said, the 225,000 number was just something I came up with off the top of my head to test the feature - honestly I thought I had deleted it but you guys are keeping me on my toes.
So please don't read anything into that number - like I said, it was literally me just testing the website. I apologize for the confusion!
Appreciate the clarification, no further scratching my head needed.
@David_R ....Thanks for jumping in with that information.... Cheers, RickO
Nice to know that they are always testing potential improvements to the system.
