What is your favorite regular issue US coin obverse?

Regular issues only, forget the bullion or commemorative coins. Obverse only, forget the reverse design for the moment.

My personal favorite is the 1913 Indian Head on the nickel. The original 1913 obverse has real artistic merit, which was downgraded somewhat when the design was slightly reworked.

All glory is fleeting.

    For me its' definitely the Walking Liberty half dollar design.

    Always looking for tougher PSA 10's of Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, Mookie Betts, Francisco Lindor, and Mike Trout.

    I'm torn between the Walking Liberty Half, and the Standing Liberty Quarter. Definitely the "Golden Age".

    I'll just call it a tie with the Walker, the Stander, the Merc and the Buffalo nickel all my favorites....but I like a lot of others as well.

    1794 Apple Cheeks Large Cent (wish I owned a nice example).

    "While making or enhancing this one particular 1794 obverse cent die, an engraver scooped a little deeper than usual in the metal in the area that corresponds to the cheek of Miss Liberty."

    "On coins struck from that die, the cheek of Miss Liberty is fuller and rounder. Her cheek seems to bulge, though in a normal human way. It almost appears as though she has an apple in her mouth or just a lot of food."

    Walker but I also like the Standing Liberty, Seated Liberty and Draped Bust.

    The first coin that I really liked was the Indian cent. The first coin that I loved was the $2.5 gold Indian. Although I can name several designs that I still like a lot, I think the single most beautiful design is the high relief St. Gaudens $20. And the one posted by northcoin is just ideal. A beauty of a coin.

    So many to choose from....the Walker of course, the $20 St Gaudens, Flowing Hair dollar, Indian cent, 1839 'petite head' large cent, Liberty Cap large cent....I admire all of these. If we combine obverse with reverse, the Buffalo nickel would be one of my favorites.

    The 1805-1807 draped bust quarter, closely followed by the large size (1815-1828) capped bust quarter.

    These designs are similar to their larger and smaller denomination contemporaries, but with better proportions

    Hands down, I prefer the Draped Bust design. If I had to be more specific, I'd probably say Draped Bust Half Cents and Cents...the lack of stars on the obverse gives them a nice uncluttered look.
