All I ask is, why submit?
Not to mention coins were received on December 1, 2016 and just now shipped.....long time to wait for these results.

These may have been submitted for a customer who wanted it done. Could be family heirlooms.

There are still some pretty good coins mixed in there
Great group of bust halves and other coins.
Ouch!
I hope they went economy. Too bad they don't have a record in the census of problem coins.
It looks likes grandpa's half dollar collection and he liked to clean his coins.
Decades ago, an 'ol time dealer Joel Rettew (a nice man who is still active in his 70's) told me "coins sell better in holders."
Maybe that justifies this submission.

I still need a nice one of those!
It could be a submission intended for sale. Maybe a collector who worked decades on the set.
At least the submitter knows what they have now. There is a bit of a mix.
Perhaps it was by someone who learned enough to get a professional opinion. With these grades, a reasonably smart person can now estimate value from auction archives. Without the grades, even a very smart person would have a hard time coming close.
Also, I see only 25 Genuine out of 79, not nearly as bad as your subject line implies.
There is an 1896-S quarter in there too! While low grade, each point makes hundreds of difference in value.
Take another look at line 28.....notice the Item #'s.
That is a large submission...I think it is likely someone having a collection valued for sale... Cheers, RickO
Yes. Line 28 includes 5 1831 half dollars, described as items 1 through 5. 3 of those 5 received genuine grades. This still brings me to a total of 25 genuine, and 54 graded, out of 79 total coins.
