Delivery by drones.

In the wake of Amazon, and possibly others, seeking to deliver mdse. by drones. The question: Will you embrace your coins (expensive) to one day being delivered by said method? How will lost/stolen mdse./intercepted,diverted (to wrong house) drone delivery problems be rectified? Would you want an opt out option to refuse delivery by this means? Thoughts?

My first thought is many less people will be involved.
Maybe we will start having delivery pads outside second floor windows.

Inevitable progress.... Yes, there will be errors and unforeseen issues.... they will be addressed and rectified. Welcome to the future....Cheers, RickO
At first I would be skeptical, but, over time I think it could be a good system that I would use. But the insurance would be a question and concern.

You'd have to worry about all the drones leaving PCGS being followed by shoot down and capture drones.
Kind of Like the wild west, but instead of "train robbers", they'd be "drone robbers". Then every drone would have to be accompanied by a "Shotgun drone"

No!
The personal injury lawyers are probably already preparing for the use of drone delivery ... when they aren't occupied with preparing for the advent of self-driving cars.
The more I think about it the more I'm for it. I'll bet it will be more secure than registered mail. There will be no thieves handling the package along the way.

They're going to need big batteries to make it where I live.
As long as this guy is flying along side the package, it wil make it safely.

I have only ordered a few coins, none of which were lost in the mail? Has anyone else ever had coins lost in the route?

The way traffic is in Seattle/Bellevue, it would be a real helpful.
Not sure about the logistics - signature confirmation, mid-air drone/bird collisions, hijackings, consumer not home, dropped refrigerators, etc. Perfect job for your gamer kids.
When I think about drones, my first thought is of mojitos delivered from the hotel bar to my beach blanket. But I digress.

Drones apparently emit high-frequency sounds which are above human hearing.
The neighborhood dogs will let you know when a drone is in the area.

so where are these drones suppose to drop their package, on the doorstep or by the mailbox. Going to a doorstep the drone may encounter trees, power and cable lines, dogs. what a mess.
the dogs collar gets tangled in the drone and it carries the dog back to the amazon warehouse... or even better/worse, your kids belt loop gets stuck on the drone. lol

From what has been reported of late, the drones have 'better eyesight' and maneuverability than your USPS postman and being equipped with gps can takeoff and land from a moving delivery truck. Really not too far fetched if you remember there were no smart phone about 20 years ago

No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
Any package delivered to an unsecure location - unlocked mailbox, front porch etc. is at risk of theft.
Yeah...self driving cars. I don't so much distrust the idea based on concept. I know you can do amazing things with current technology. What I don't trust is knowing that the guy currently driving with one headlight, missing mirrors, bald tires, and the oil light on is in charge of making sure the technology is actually working.
And drones: Great idea when you are the only one flying. Now, try again when Walmart, JCPenney's, Home Depot, and 10 other companies are all doing deliveries while Timmy is trying to do loops with his new toy...
If they drop my coins ☹️
