Thanks joeykoins for a fun challenge, and congrats to Messydesk for beating the clock. At least we were tied in posted time and I'll take some solace in having posted before the midnight deadline the last regular issue coin intended for circulation with a mintage under 3,000 (as opposed to a commemorative.) Most, if not all, of my postings were of coins with less than 3,000 mintage that are identified by Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth in their "100 Greatest Coins" Fourth Edition. I may have missed one or two, but within the parameters of the OP's criteria (no errors, varieties, or duplicates posted by others) I think I provided a pretty complete posting list of the 100 Greatest Coins with mintages less than 3,000, excluding those that had already been identified.
FWIW, I saved posting the 1808 Capped Bust Quarter Eagle for last for sentimental reasons. I once owned one (AU), which to my knowledge was the only double die example of the coin existent. I am curious where it might be today and in what holder. That info would certainly be a prize for me.
Here are some added details regarding the 1808 Capped Bust Quarter Eagle relevant to its limited minting that may be of shared interest:
"Only 2,710 Capped Bust quarter eagles were struck from these dies, and no more quarter eagles were produced for more than a dozen years, making this date an instant rarity. Estimates are that fewer than fifty 1808 quarter eagles exist today in all grades. Most survivors are in the higher circulated grades, but several mint state examples have appeared over the years. Even among the low mintage quarter eagles, the 1808 is a very scarce date. But with so many collectors pursuing design types alone, this issue has assumed much greater importance than merely another scarce date in the quarter eagle series. It is one of the premier rarities in U.S. numismatics and undoubtedly one of the most eagerly sought of all type coins."

Thanks for running the contest! It was by chance that I happened to be perusing the forum on my phone just before midnight, so I decided to play.
