1888/(7?) S-2, FND-002, Indian Head Cent. Is it an 1888/7 or not - has the issue been resolved?

Apologies if this is an old question on the board that has been resolved, but I can't find a definitive answer as to whether the 1888/(7?) is still considered to be an overdate, or if it's now considered to be something else. I remember there being some rather heated debate about this variety a number of years ago. I've been away from active collecting for some time, especially varieties, and I came across mine a couple of days ago while going through some old boxes. Any clarification would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

PCGS still grades it as an "overdate", however I don't know if the pundits in the collecting community agree (IHCs are not my specialty). Some of them might post here if you're lucky.
But I can tell you with certainty that the variety is still worth big $$$!
PM Rick Snow (Eagle Eye) for a detailed answer... he is the forum authority. Cheers, RickO
This SUPER variety, is my goal for2017. I'll be hunting down this baby all year! My opinion, Overdate.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.S1 definitely, S2, I have my doubts.
I did find this analysis by Chris Pilliod last night while doing some searching:
http://www.fly-inclub.org/1888over7analysis.htm
Not sure when Chris did the work or the coin community's reaction to it?
The S2 is a neat repunched date - 1888/888 with a MPD in the first pearl. Not an overdate though. The vertical line in the upper loop of the last 8 is not part of the repunching - it is just a die flaw of some kind.
The S1 is the only overdate.
Rick, Thanks much for your reply. So, am I misreading Chris Pilliod's analysis, or has he changed his mind, or do the two of you disagree? Please excuse my confusion.
