Coinstar - First silver of 2017

OnlyGoldIsMoneyOnlyGoldIsMoney Posts: 3,432 ✭✭✭✭✭

I check my local supermarket coinstar whenever I pick up groceries. Apart from corroded pennies and foreign coins I can expect one silver dime or quarter each month. Finding a silver dime yesterday was not unexpected but finding one dated 1893 was a pleasant surprise.

Next time I will be on the lookout for Liberty Seated.

I have only found a couple war-nick's in the cash drawer so far this year...I have yet to find ANYTHING in the reject bins of the coin counters. Congrats on your find!

My oldest Barber's are two of them, 1898 and 1899 found about two years ago. My oldest C/S find is an 1865 IHC that is partially flattened found in September. The week before I found a beaten up 1902 in the same machine.
