1956 Washington Quarter Proof Die Reverse? found by my 12 yr old Grandson

Hello...
My 12 year old Grandson found a 1956 P Washington Quarter in his change. I have taught him about what coins are silver, we have been collecting together since he was about 4. Anyhow before he brought it to me some man told him it was a Proof Die Reverse. I am not familiar with that, but the man told him it was worth more than a regular 1956 Washington Quarter and to put it in a holder and save it. He brought it to me and I looked on ebay and saw some listed, but I don't know how to tell if it is in fact a 1956 Proof Die Reverse Washington Quarter. The reverse is shinier than obverse, but that's about the only thing I see different. I will take some pictures of it after Christmas "really too busy right now" my camera skills are not that great either when it comes to coins. Then maybe I can get some opinions.
Thank You and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The proof reverse is known as a Type B reverse. They are very distinct. Here is a link with some pictures to help you tell the difference. Some business strike quarters were struck using leftover Proof reverse dies between 1956 and 1964. Some dates within that range are more difficult to find compared to others. ebay.com/gds/Is-my-Washington-Quarter-Type-A-or-Type-B-/10000000012433822/g.html
We need a photo of the reverse to tell you for sure. If it's a 1956, that's a much scarcer date than the 1957 - 1964 type B's.
Very cool and yes one of the better one's if it is a type "B", Keep up the good work.
Hoard the keys.
Looking forward to the pictures... would be a neat find if it is a proof reverse. Cheers, RickO
I find it amazing that your boy found a man that could identify a type B reverse. I suspect 80% of the readers of this board could not do that.
It was my Grandson not my Son. He was at the local uni-mart with his Dad buying a drink he looked at his change and told his Dad it was a 1956 Silver Quarter he said there was and older man in line and asked if he could look at it. Maybe being an older gentleman he may have been a coin collector himself, I don't know what he saw but i'm just telling the story as I know it.
Thank you jtlee321 and others for the information. I did some research on type B reverse quarter and from what I have read and photos I have seen I DON'T believe this is a type B reverse Quarter. I showed my Grandson what I had read and photos so he and I have learned something new "type B reverse". I put it in a flip for him and wrote found in change 12/2016. He will add it to the rest of his collection. I am glad he has taken an interest in coin collecting since around the age of 4, and knew he at least had a silver quarter. As I said I'm not very good with coin photos. Thank You All, and Have a Happy New Year!!
It is without a doubt not a type b reverse quarter.
