Designation/suffix upgrade on in holder regrade submission

Has anyone ever got a an upgrade in designation/suffix on a coin submitted in an existing holder for regrade?
Or do you think that all in holder regrades are just re-sent through for a potential upgrade in grade.
ie BN to RB, CAM to DCAM, non FH to FH, non FB to FB, PL to DMPL, etc...
I'm curious if that is even possible, or do you always have to try reconsideration or crack it out and re-submit to get a suffix upgrade.

some suffixes were not being used when PCGS started, surely if warranted, the old rattlers would upgrade.
Yes Jeff, you can get suffix added on regrade
This flowchart is for Reconsideration, but Regrade works the same way. Just make sure you select the "ANY" option.

My question is specifically on an in holder regrade getting an upgrade.
Anyone have actual results of this happening on their submission?
For a regrade, the coins get cracked out prior to the graders seeing them and it happens (designation/suffix upgrade) with some frequency and I have seen it many times. For Reconsideration, the current PCGS forms also ask one to check a box for "Upgrade by Plus Only" as well as "Upgrade by Suffix". The current default option for Reconsideration is "Upgrade by full numeric grade".

Thanks, I was hoping it worked that way, but I wanted confirmation that it actually happens.
Yes, I have had it happen several times. As in sending a rattler MS65 1949-S Franklin for regrade and getting in back in an MS66FBL new holder.
