2 of 6 US Mint 2016 WLH's are going back to the mint!

I returned only 1 of 10 gold dimes and none of the 7 quarters I ordered.
Just bad luck??
BTW - don't tell me I can sell them for more than my refund $$ - I wouldn't in good conscience stick someone with these.

I ordered two of each issue for myself and each coin appeared just fine and dandy.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
My one still looks mighty fine in that nice brown box.
Mine looked like someone sneezed on it. Sent it back as exchange, hoping to receive another soon. Should have sent it back for refund and purchased one after the price drop.
Wow... too bad they are in such bad shape straight from the MInt... Cheers, RickO
Ordered one, sent it back for planchet damage that survived the strike. They just shipped the replacement. Wish me luck.
I returned 2 out of three. I am amazed that with such high premiums how shabby mint quality control seems to be on these centennial halves. I don't think i am being extra fussy but rim scratches and spotting just does not cut it on a collectible coin. As someone stated on this board, once you see the blatant defect, the coin never looks the same.
With the cost of purchase, grading, shipping, etc I'm going to just look for a graded one on eBay in a few months - with the razor thin selling margins, I'll come out about even.
What does the mint do with returns? don't they just repackage and send out to someone else?
5 our of 6 went back for refund.
I ordered more after the price drop, should be here today.
I had to go with the PO box so i could get USPS Priority mail, instead of super super slow UPS. (who thought we'd be saying that), to get them here for grading, if they are worthy.
No incentive to do quality work I suppose.
